Many years have passed, Lenny Isenberg, since you and I talked about breaking the enormous silence that surrounds the assault on teachers, -- the first round in ending the national institution of public education. In order to lie and rewrite history, an uninformed ignorant citizenry is required. To citizens who know The Constitution as the Founding Fathers envisioned it, the liars and ranters who fill the media with their outrageous false narratives would be unable to hold sway.
The puppet masters who are in control of our country NEED the schools to fail, because education offers the single ingredients that makes critical thinking possible ... PRIOR KNOWLEDGE. And,they have a plan.
They know just how to use their enormous power and wealth to take over this country, and they have decades in which to impoverish the minds of our citizens. It is so simple: ENSURE THAT PUBLIC EDUCATION collapses.
Schools accomplish one CRUCIAL task - they provide REAL INFORMATION (PRIOR KNOWLEDGE/TRUTH.) THIS enables youngsters to acquire a crucial skill, the ability to analyze (to think critically in today's jargon. Like any skill, it requires practice and a sequential approach that begins when the human brain is very young.
Analysis depends on that one simple thing, so if you DISRUPT the process by removing this crucial ingredient, PRIOR KNOWLEDGE you will have succeeded in ending the brain's ability to compare and contrast what it sees and hears to what it already knows is true. Genuine educators are not mere teachers. They ensure that young Americans have real information, and facts, so they have prior truths with which to compare and contrast the present VALUE information that has been passed down to us over the history of mankind.
Professional teacher/practitioners are not , mere providers of information... they encourage reflection, asking students to consider and evaluate human history and literature. I
f the schools are emptied of genuine educational practitioners, they become places that present nonsense and specious arguments instead of genuine accepted theories. Ironically, in Orwellian fashion, they present their opinions, their world-views in the name of fairness, or freedom of speech, or democratic rights.
But they leave our children, who are no longer children, when they leave the schools, bereft of truth; they have no hard facts with which to compare the rants, in order to find truth. They earned to memorize but not to reflect and consider, to compare and contrast --to analyze. Thus, Glen Beck and Rush Limbough get a bully pulpit and the men who would lead this country, politicians but not leaders, posture and pose and lie, knowing the people are too ignorant to know that the preamble to The Constitution expressly creates a government that will "provide for the common good."
If the schools become places where kids are asked to memorize unimportant data and to regurgitate inane text in order to pass a memory test, then the critical analysis skill which depends on reflection and debate in order to seek out truth, will disappear
Do you see how insidious the destruction of our schools is?
They removed the GENUINE educator who facilitated the acquisition of SKILLS -- labeling the top, most experienced practitioners as 'dead-wood' and reforming the schools so only those 'teachers' who obey the mandates and policies of the top-down administrators remained. The puppet masters win in LAUSD. By silencing the voices of the real practitioners, the puppet masters took over the public schools, and replaced them with "charter schools" where they controled the lerning and the demographics of the student body. These puppet masters also control all the major media outlets bar none, and thus, they control the narrative about education (see my essay on this site "Subverting the National Conversation."
