MINORITY ADMINISTRATORS FACILITATE CONTINUED LAUSD AND CHARTERS' FAILURE

Malcom X.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) There is an exquisitely sick irony to the fact that segregated and purposefully maintained inferior inner city public education could not be maintained at the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and elsewhere in this country without the administrative participation of the same minorities it keeps in their unachieving places. Unless minority administrators were willing to turn momma's picture to the wall and follow orders- for a six-figure salary and a place at the privatization feast at public expense- real positive change in public education could rather easily be achieved at far less expense and in a relatively short period of time. I say ironically because the willingness of minority leadership to sell out the inherent intelligence of Black and Latino children to assure that they never reach their potential is both deplorable and at the same time a negation of racism. Why? Because irrespective of race what all human beings have shown themselves regrettably capable of is a willingness to do pretty much anything for a large enough pile of bucks and benefits.

STEVE JOBS WIDOW FUNDS $50 MILLION XQ: THE SUPER SCHOOL PROJECT

Lauren Powell Jobs.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) Does Steve Jobs widow Lauren Powell Jobs really need to spend $50 million to reinvent our public schools or do we just have to eliminate the endemic corruption of public education that puts corporate profit and gimmickry ahead of tried and true pedogogic methods from the past that have systematically been removed or sabotaged in order to keep poor students of color in their place with a non-public education system expressedly designed to accomplish this regrettable goal. One need only look at an LAUSD of the 1950s and 1960s to find the successful model of academic and trade oriented public education that was subsequently systematically dismantled. So now, rather than address what was done to create the dropout failure factories that the vast majority of LAUSD schools have become, we are told to concentrate on the effects of this programmed failure, as if to do so will somehow make a better public education system.

NPR- STILL COMMERCIAL FREE RADIO?

NPR News.png
(Mensaje se repite en Español) It is clear to anyone listening to KPCC or KCRW, the local affiliates of National Public Radio (NPR), that there is clearly no more insightful, well produced, or entertaining news programming that exists than on these stations...except when it comes to actually reporting anything that might in the slightest way contradict one of NPR's large corporate controlled foundation donor's business or political agenda.

MAJOR FACTORS FOR CONTINUED MINORITY FAILURE ON COMMON CORE TEST IGNORED- WHY IS THAT?

student with ear buds.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) In analyzing the recent abysmal showing and further decline of Black and Latino students on recent state tests designed to measure their mastery of Common Core standards, major factors seem to have been purposefully ignored in looking at these scores in order to continue a failed public education policy that is clearly responsible. Why is that? Could it have anything to do with the corporate agenda that seeks to justify the further privatization of the now close to $2 trillion a year public education "business" with privately owned or controlled charter schools designed to tap into these funds by corporations?
