UTLA SEEKS 30% MORE DUES...TO CONTINUE SELLING OUT RANK-AND-FILE TO LAUSD?

Union Corruption Report.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) for the last ten years has carried on a disingenuous and premeditated war against thousands of expensive high seniority teachers, while their union United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) has done absolutely nothing to defend them as they are obligated and have the power to do under the LAUSD-UTLA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Now this self-dealing UTLA "Power Slate" leadership that runs UTLA has the chutzpah to ask for more dues, while continuing to sell out its membership by colluding with LAUSD administration in making the attack on senior teachers even possible in the first place.

LAWLESS AMERICA

water fountain.jpg.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) In annually commemorating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King with a national holiday, that most employers except the government ignore, there remains a glaring disconnect between the feel good civil rights dream of Dr. King- only achieved in rhetoric- and the still inferior American Black stark underachievement reality that is only accentuated when juxtaposed with the incessant illegal behavior they remain subjected to that for the most part remains unaddressed by any local, state, or federal legal authority charged with so doing.

WHAT GETS YOU ACCLAIMED AS A TEACHER IN PRIVATE SCHOOL GET YOU FIRED AT LAUSD AND EQUALLY BAD CHARTERS

(Mensaje se repite en Español) "Give a man a fish and you feed him today. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for the rest of his lifetime." 19th century Anne Isabella Richie The best explanation as to why we still have a de facto segregated and objectively inferior public school system at the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and elsewhere in this country's public schools 62 years after Brown vs. Board of Education supposedly made integration the law of the land is probably the least cited reason: People not subjected to what remains inferior segregated public education themselves are loathe to comprehend just how impossible the attainment of a good education is under an LAUSD-like system and the sanctions in place for any teacher who tries to buck this clearly inferior system.

IS LAUSD'S NEW SUPERINTENDENT MICHELLE KING JUST THE LATEST VENDOR VASSAL?

Michelle King.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) LAUSD is a business that for generations has been more concerned with the well being of its exclusive "agreed vendors" of goods and services than it has been for the successful formation of its...

STATE SENATOR MENDOZA TEACHER JAIL AUDIT REQUEST APPROVED- DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP

Mendoza.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) When Donald Trump uses his defamatory and completely indefensible rhetoric against Muslims and Mexicans- just to name a few- I must confess that I had already become accustomed to this type of hate speech. LAUSD's false presumption that legally presumed innocent teachers must be confined for the "safety of students" is the same kind of unsubstantiated unconstitutional nonsense that presupposes guilty and seeks to inflame people, while savaging senior teachers, the vast majority of whom have done nothing wrong...except maybe make too much money for LAUSD administration's liking.

IS FRIEDRICHS VS. CALIFORNIA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION A DEATH KNELL FOR ALL UNIONS

Friedrichs.jpg
(Mensaje se repite en Español) The ramifications of the Friedrichs vs. California Teachers Association (CTA) that is now pending before the United States Supreme Court go far beyond the public sector unions and employees litigating this case with specious allegations of their 1st Amendment free speech rights being violated by what Justice Kennedy called "coerced speech." In reality, it also has very little to do with the fair-share agency fees required of all public employees like teachers who are exclusively represented by a union like CTA, but choose not to be members of that union, because they do not share the political views and support given by that union to predominantly Democratic candidates and issues. Already public employee unions must segregate the funds collected to defray the costs of collective bargaining on behalf of all workers- who they have had the exclusive right to represent- and any supplemental political actions the union chooses to engage in and fund only from members dues.
