A BETTER WAY TO SPEND $25 BILLION THAN ON A WALL

So how does one deal with a problem like the present neverending stream of undocumented aliens and their children flocking to and illegally crossing our borders? What doesn't seem to be understood or addressed by our leadership at both the state and federal levels is that this and other problems like it will not be dealt with today until our leadership presents today's problems in their true historic and economic contexts, where all relevant facts are considered. Hopefully, this will be a process which no longer ignores past actions and decisions made by the United States, that remain directly responsible for the present situation we now find ourselves in.

LAUSD SAYS "MORE GRADUATING"... BUT SHOULD THEY?

What is most disconcerting about the systematic and purposeful dismantling of public education in this country by LAUSD- and other entrenched mega school districts like it around the country- is that they literally make no attempt to cover up their reprehensible and often criminal behavior in fixing assessments and grades to justify graduating students that objectively have virtually none of the skills supposedly subsumed under a high school diploma.

PLASTIC-IN-THE-ENVIRONMENT SOLUTION(S)?

Might there be a glimmer of hope for the environment and our species longterm survival on this planet, now that MacDonalds has finally acknowledged a plastic-in-the-environment crisis of epic proportions? While MacDonalds starting to implement a program to eliminate the use of single-use-plastic-straws in the U.K. and Ireland, might not seem like much- given the magnitude of the underlying problem- it's at the very least a beginning, which makes me wonder why we all can't- individuals and businesses- do things similar on this side of the Atllantic and around the world?
